Cherita M. Hogan, M.Ed., Founder

Cherita Hogan, Founder of Motivating Others to Value Everyone, Limited (M*O*V*E), has always had a desire for education, training, and community service.  With almost 20 years as a secondary educator with Prince George’s County Public Schools, she has served as a special education teacher, honors reading/English language arts teacher, mathematics department chairperson, county mathematics curriculum writer, college program coordinator, and professional development and corporate trainer for a Maryland school system. She currently is an Assistant Principal with Prince George's County Public Schools. 

Cherita enjoys working with the community on all levels. She began working with nonprofit organizations over 20 years ago. She currently serves in various leadership roles in several nonprofits; director, President of Leo’s Love, and Chief Information Officer for Sisters Keeping It Real Through Service, Inc (SKIRTS, Inc.). Cherita’s love for community service grew so strong that she couldn’t pass up the gift God laid on her heart to M*O*V*E.

Cherita attended Frostburg State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Minor in Sociology. She also earned a dual Master of Science Degree from Frostburg State in Special Education and Health Education. Cherita earned her third Master’s of Science in Educational Administration from Trinity Washington University, Washington DC. Cherita’s passion for learning has led her to attend Harvard University for continuing education courses focusing on data analysis, business diagnostics, and organizational improvement. 

In her spare time, Cherita loves spending time with her family, friends, and dog, reading, traveling, working with the community, trying new foods, and dancing. She is a proud charter member of Phoenix Chapter No. 86, Order of Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliated, Bowie Maryland. Cherita currently resides in Prince George’s County Maryland and is excited to bring a variety of community support to the county.
